Yesterday, we gave Travis a dose of Zantac in an effort to soothe his wakeful nights. I’ve been wondering if his constant crying was due to reflux, as babies have trouble keeping acid down until their stomachs get stronger. He gagged somewhat comically after he swallowed it, but otherwise didn’t seem to mind.
It might have done the trick! Travis was very calm and alert last evening before bed and slept better than he ever has. Kelly was very happy this morning, too. Amazing what a good night of sleep will do for you.
As for me, I’m hoping I can stop sleeping on the sofabed now that The Boy is catching onto this sleep thing. Let’s hope this improvement is a trend and not an abberation!
On another note, I can see why Glaxo makes so much dough. At fifty bucks a bottle, Zantac ain’t cheap!
You will probably see more results after 2-3 days of use or at least that’s what our Peds doc told us with both of the kids. But who knows right? I would be able to tell a difference with Caleb so after a dose but a couple days with Emma. Goodluck.
Mandy
so, why you got to sleep on the couch?
Scott
Because so far, Travis won’t sleep unless he’s right next to someone. That doesn’t leave much room for me. And since he and Kelly are waking every 2-3 hours for nursing, I sleep better.
werd. Didn’t know the dealio
I have no idea why Mark sleeps on the couch.
